Ever since the Canadian Bishops issued their equivocal response to Pope Paul VI's encyclical Humanae Vitae, Monsignor Vincent Foy has been their persistent and indomitable critic.  Here he documents that the Winnipeg Statement, even decades after it was issued, continues to confuse the faithful, and ought to be withdrawn once and for all.  Contraception does not deserve a defense.
