Guidelines and assumptions

  • The speaker will be housed in a rectory or home with all meals provided.  Therefore, there will be no hotel, car rental or other expenses.

  • The conference registration fee (approx. $100) will cover all retreat expenses plus extra to help offset the above expenses.

  • The difference between the conference receipts and the total expenses will be subsidized by a sponsor, group or church entity.

  • Airfare to any location in the continental U.S. can be kept within the above budget with very advanced ticketing (three to six months).  Often, airfare can be obtained by seeking frequent flier donations.  It takes 25,000 miles per ticket.

  • Humanae Vitae Conferences for laity are done on an adjacent day to clergy conferences.  A collection is taken up which covers all expenses.  For example, with a clergy conference on Friday, a laity conference could be held on Wednesday evening or Saturday.
